Project 1

Project 1 is the research of different architect's work base on their architecture theory and style.
To investigate and to explore how spaces are created from the making of architectural elements: architectonics.-solid, planes, lines and frames. Upon completion of the project student should be able to achieve a level of understanding on the works assigned and will be able to apply the idea and concept to their project later.
The idea of using pure and diagrammatic models to express the architectural idea would also be in cooperated into this assignment.
In this poject, we research and overlook the famous architect from Canada, "Peter Eisenman". As how his architecture influences and his theory.
The unexisting building ,one of his work "House X" was what we were researching.

1. Ability to identify master architects and their works
2. Understanding basic architectural compositions of solids, planes, lines and frames.
3. Ability to ‘diagram’ and analyse architectural work of selected architect
Project 2

The aim of this project is to generate form and space through architectural conceptualisation, with the emphasis on exploring the user requirement and simple spatial organization skills and site responding to develop an architectural proposition. The importance of using the art of crafting and making: drawing(s) and model(s) as a critical design tool as part of the design process.

Task
In group of two, We are to begin with a volume in the form of a solid cube 3 x 3 x 3 meter. By selecting a character, design a pavilion at Kuala Selangor Nature Park for the purpose of relaxing/contemplation. Include the activities of resting, meditation, observation, viewing etc. in which furniture and equipment must fit and be incorporated with the design. This structure should correspond to the site that you have chosen. Adequate access, circulation and fenestration are mandatory.

Idea development

Inspirations

The initial inspirations come from the Repetions of trees that form a walk way with shades. We developed the pavilion using the repetions of lines to play with the form of the pavilion. And was trying to form a walkway that have a infinity feeling.
Final Project

Retreat house in Kuala selangor

I am to further develop project 2a into a retreat at Kuala Selangor for chosen character. A retreat denotes ‘ place affording peace, quiet, privacy and security’ ….. where its occupant/s would reside for a short period of time. This retreat must function as habitable architectural spaces to enable the activity associated with living, dining, cleansing, cooking, storage and such within the built up space of 150 square meter. The relationship between your design and the context is important in making the retreat unique to its landscape and activity. This is a retreat house that i designed to match the context of the site for my client " a fortune teller" name " Kazuko Hosoki" from Japan . A form follow function retreat house that enable my client to have meditation with shade cover on top and maximum view facing the lake.
Inspirations and Design Intentions

I had further develop the idea from project 2a to project 2b which i brought the precedent studies into this final project . The idea that i had here is " the repetitions of lines" from the previous project. And i further create the same atmosphere to make my character have meditation feeling the bamboo forest when she stay in the retreat house. The retreat house consist of different shade in different time. It enable my character to have meditation in different feeling.
